KeymasterWe discussed this internally a while ago. Allowing users to drag and drop UI elements where ever they want them, and other filters and such, but we concluded that would be a ton of work. Something we should put on the map, though, for sure.

KeymasterInteresting. So it sounds like Balancer labs, but community governed? I remember Statera allowed its community members to create pools, which you could then buy the token that represented the balancer pool tokens. i.e. 20% link 20% x 10% y 50% z. Maybe there is some advanced logic behind the contract that allows additional input?

KeymasterNot to kill the vibe in this thread, but we have another thread discussing L2 solutions. https://forum.cryptokek.com/thread/of-gas-and-keks-favorite-l2-solutions/ I’ll look into Matic though. If you read the thread I just linked, there are some requirements we’re looking for.

Keymaster@Silverchronos interesting little creatures. I like how Coingecko has a “gecko”, but what is a kek in animal form?

KeymasterThis is a great idea. I feel like I saw something like this at one point…. a long time ago. Maybe it was something else. This idea sort of falls under “crypto data” in a way. But, the cool thing about “kek” is how abstract it is. Our project could reach many areas.

KeymasterComing back to follow up, I ran a poll in chat and the large majority like the idea of gamification of Kektics. Results as it currently stands, 45 votes, 73% yes, 27% no. It seems like gamification of Kektics is inevitable. With that said, this thread should have more upvotes according to popular vote.

Keymaster“Rapid growth is expensive and we may want to spend so much on it that it could hurt the vault.
Thinking about it I donât recall ever seeing a commercial for a crypto dash on tv or streaming services. wouldnât it be nice to have a fund where we could entertain campaigns like that.”I agree on hurting the vault early. Everyone wants big marketing right now, but that typically has a high cost. I believe it’s more important we focus on development, and once we have solid product, start pushing.
Someone suggested earlier in chat to open a gofundme, or another crowd sourcing method. This is not a bad idea. We will likely be applying for some grants soon to cover day to day operational cost.

KeymasterI like this idea. @CodeMe so, it would be a bot / scipt that monitors tx count on mainnet? If we had the “filters” everyone is talked about, we could exclude >1M cap, or exclude <10K Volume, and so on.
Keep in mind, there are ways to wash trade, obviously less so with ETH gas being so damn high.

Keymaster@Kekadelic – We did a bunch of research regarding xDai. There were a few things that were red flags. Firstly, the initial cost to convert your KEK tokens over to L2 (xdai) would cost $50-$300 which is nothing to blink an eye at. To get on the xDai network in something like Metamask is not one click, and the layman will have problems figuring it out. Further, our DAO as it stands is free to operate and use, which is awesome. One of the big reasons we were considering an L2 solution like xDai was because our previous DAO was too expensive to utilize.
I believe L2 solutions are very important for the future of the project. ETH’s Network congestion is not going to come down, only the most important transactions will be L1. If we want to future proof our project, we should start researching our options.
Key features of L2 solutions: One-click over to L2, cheap migration cost from ERC -> L2, say, $1-10 to move, and obviously cheap fees on said L2 network. A super clean UX is always nice too.
